I’ve tried countless travel pillows—from the flimsy blow-up variety to a sand-filled velvet number. And they’re all lousy. It seems that every time I wake up from a plane nap, my neck is screaming and I feel a thousand years old.

Until I tried the Trtl Travel Pillow.

This pillow is really more like furry neck brace that supports you while snoozing. According to the company’s website, the Trtl Travel Pillow is scientifically proven to work, half the size of the U-shaped pillow, and machine washable.

Nate gave me this as a stocking gift—kind of a let’s-hope-she-likes-it item that’s proven to be one of the best travel accessories that I own. I did have to watch a YouTube video on how to work the product, but I now stuff it into my backpack, along with my laptop and a thin blanket, on every long-haul flight and sleep like the dead.
