The Product That Got Me Through Negative Temps in Alaska
I just got back from the most amazing trip to Alaska. I’ll blog more on that later, but first want to give a shout out to an insanely amazing product that got me though this assignment.
I have terribly dry skin, and the second I step foot in a cold or dry climate, my face turns to sandpaper. I checked the temps in interior Alaska before leaving and saw that they’d be in the negatives during the night, so I packed a tube of Trilipiderm® Broad Spectrum SPF 30. I’d heard rave reviews about the brand but hadn’t tried it before this trip, and figured I didn’t have much to lose seeing as my face was likely to look like a catcher’s mitt by day two. To my surprise, this moisturizer with SPF kept my skin hydrated for four days and protected my face from the Alaska sun and snow. Trilipiderm is engineered by scientists and made with natural ingredients to repair and reconstruct dry, damaged skin—and it works. It also comes in a TSA-approved carry-on size so I was able to easily slip it into my bag. The All-Body Moisture Retention Crème was too large for my carry-on, but proved to be super-hydrating upon return—next time I’ll squeeze it into a travel-sized bottle.
