Have a Wonderful Weekend!
What are you getting up to this weekend? We have friends visiting and plan to hit the art museum, a brewery, and a divey-but-delicious Chinese restaurant.
Here are a few favorite links from around the internet:
I loved this story on NYT about people’s vacation splurges—even when traveling on a budget. What’s your vacation splurge? Nate will happily fork over a decent amount of money for a fancy dinner, and I’m all about a great hotel experience.

The Atlantic unpacks people who eat the same lunch every day. I immediately sent this to Nate because he eats and enjoys the same veggie burger, Ezekiel bun, and Fage yogurt at the hospital each day. And this is a person who deeply loves food! He will say that I like to throw together whatever almost-rotting item we have into a bowl (peaches with shredded chicken and a half-cucumber, sure!) and voila—that’s my lunch. Sounds about right.
A dear friend of mine is from West Virginia and this is now on my travel bucket list: Caving adventures under the Shenandoah Mountains on the Washington Post.
