Have a Wonderful Weekend

Have a Wonderful Weekend

What are you getting up to this weekend? We’re crossing something off my summer/life bucket list and going to Natchitoches, home to the movie “Steel Magnolias.” I’m dragging Nate on a self-guided tour and plan to do all the cheesy things related to my favorite-ever movie.

Here are a few links from around the web:

The new abortion bans are real and they are terrifying. From the NYT: Why Post-Roe America Will be Worse. Also, you can donate to Planned Parenthood here.

A first look at the TWA Hotel at New York’s JFK airport. So retro!

This robust series on Gen X spoke to me. I am nostalgic for chokers (even though I wasn’t cool enough to wear one), Sassy Magazine, and talking on the phone for hours.

I’ve always been mystified by the gingham button down + vest combo. This story in the New Yorker nails it.

I bought this swimsuit from Summersalt in Pink Sand and love it.

Would love to make this recipe soon (Brussels sprouts brunch pasta) from Joy the Baker.

How do you deal with planning when it comes to a vacation? I love to plan hotels, but not a whole lot else. This article says that to reduce travel stress, plan less.

Happy weekend!
